Default Cult-Labs Forums Top 100 Horror Films of the 70s

I tried this once before, but I had some other things come up and I never got around to finishing this up. However now I have some free time and we can make this happen. Some of you may remember the list we did for the 80s, well that's the plan here. You PM me a ranked list of your favorite horror films of the 1970s and I will do the rest. Please PM me instead of posting the list in the thread, I'd like the results to be surprising.

I'll give you some a month to watch anything you might have missed. Your votes are due on September 1st.

Lists require a minimum of 10 films with a maximum limit of 100. Points will be given from 100 points for first place down to 1 point for 100th place.

I haven't seen it, but judging from it's synopses I would say it's fine. And Giallo definitely counts, I am expecting it to be well represented.

That wouldn't even scrape into my top 1000.

Great list B_E.

Nice to see The Shout in there.

Why is it so low down?

I'm a big Ferrara fan and have a real soft spot for The Driller Killer; despite it being marred slightly with the overuse of Tony Coca Cola and The Roosters.

The Shout is fantastic, but it has a lot of competition within this particular decade - my favourite where horror (and cinema in general) is concerned. At least it's above The Driller Killer
Demdike@Cult Labs likes this.
