This is simply one of the best transfers that I have EVER seen on DVD - The Devils has never looked this good on home video until now.
Colour is vibrant and Contrast is very good, indeed. Blacks are rich and deep but never crush shadow detail. Clarity is exceptional and in places looks almost like Hi Def. The mono audio is first rate too - strong and powerful, and with no drop outs.

Seeing a DVD THIS good just makes the wish for a BD even stronger. I can only imagine how good a BD will look after seeing this amazing DVD transfer.

Got to agree with you there, I watched mine yesterday afternoon then followed it with Evil Dead 2 on Blu Ray, the Devils looked far better IMO, just goes to show that people shouldn't write off DVD just yet

I used to use Amazon but have switched to HMV because you tend to getter new releases the Friday before.

Worst thing is I left home today and won't be back until Monday anyway!

To be honest, I doubt there would be much of a difference if this was in HD, it really does look that good. I plan on doing some grabs from it but not until everyone has there copy, I don't want to spoil it for those that have waited a long time for it
