Its been ages since I looked at the MGM disc but I don't think It was an eater egg.I do remember that you could changed the music on the menu screen via an easter egg.

Same here but it's a long deleted DVD so it's well worth keeping despite owning several other editions!

The original phantasm is without doubt my all time favourite film in any genre..hands down.
I've seen nothing like it before or since(apart from the sequels)and i must have watched it at least 50 odd times.

Now heres the sad bit...Before i was buying videos and you only had the possibility of renting movies,i rented this at least a dozen times in the space of a month.(well,it was only 50p,and my other options were candid camera classics.)The soundtrack blew me away, and i ended up doing an audio "copy" on a tdk d90 tape of the whole film. Should have realised then that horror flicks had a hold of me.

After me raving on about phantasm to my mate,he rented it and upon viewing it,said it was a pile of old wank.(god knows what he'd make of no.4)

Great movies(even no.4) and i own the anchor bay sphere, plus a figure of the tall man and one of his evil minions, sitting pride of place on me tv unit.

Yeah,i kinda like the phantasm franchise.

Spot on.A melting pot of different aspects of genres.Unbeatable.
I liked the way they adopted the 'ALIENS' attitude for the sequel as well-kick arse.
I'm currently on number 3 (Again) and it's as cool as feck as well.

Four does get some short shift, and if you aint seen any of the previous films before watching this its really confusing, although i liked the way coscarelli added unseen footage from the original flick into oblivion. And who would have thought the tall man was a thoroughly nice bloke indeed.

Got a hold of a brand new Sphere box.To be honest I shoulda grabbed one ages ago.Very cool the way it's made, and looks cracking on a shelf once the little prongs are clipped on.

I'm probably in the minority, but my favourite of the sequels is part 4; I think Coscarelli really nails the tone of the series in that one.

Now part 5, do I want it? I think 4 ended nicely, but I definately got a bit of excitement when I saw this teaser: (add your own www, I can't post links yet)
