The original TCM isn't a film I watch very often or really enjoy. It is, nonetheless, a film I have a tremendous respect for, as it's one of the few films that makes me genuinely uncomfortable. TCM 2, by comparison, is, I believe, a more enjoyable film, but that heightened enjoyment factor comes at the expense of the wall-crawling intensity Hooper was able to achieve with the first films smaller budget and superior cast. Still, TCM 2 does boast some of Savini's best work though.

as i product of the twisted social networking generation whos seen all the circulating nasties (2girls1cup) the worst nuevo body horror has to offer (hostel, saw human centipede, halloween remakes ect) on top of ****in serbian movie, i can honestly say few films are as disturbing as this. its about degredation, desecration, the reduction of human values to nothing. human life as currency, livestock or simply a temporary pleasure, as easily disposed of as it is replaced. not many horrors are on this level... keep in mind it came in the early seventies, less than 15 years after psycho. try and find a slasher that wasnt influenced by this...

Texas Chainsaw Massacre is, without a doubt, one of the great horror movies of all time. Just thought I'd state the obvies.
