I ruined this for myself a bit by watching the crap remake first, this film is great but the god damn remake I actually laughed out at the bit with the sea cow it just looked so ridiculous!

This film is all about the atmosphere and tension with superb cinematography/imagery surely the people behind the remake would have realised this and known what they would have to do to at least equal it's greatness.
No I haven't seen the remake and I don't think I shall.
