Default Slaughter Hotel (La Bestia Uccide A Sangue Freddo) (1971)

I'm keen on seeing this, but the various versions are a nightmare! Oh for a definitive disk!

ANyhow, I was wondering if any of you good folks have seen the Shriek Show DVD. If so, how bad is the audio issue mentioned on IMDb and DVDcompare? I know it's only for a minute but it sounds like it might be quite jarring. It's putting me off, to be honest...

...but it seems like the best of a bad bunch of releases!

Am i going to have to buy the Shriek Show AND the Raro and re-edit it in my head?!

I haven't seen the Shriek Show disc but I have the Raro version and the print is pretty damn fantastic.

If you look in my reviews thread I have some screen caps of the Raro version taken from my PC if you're interested Goj.

And apparently very, very cut indeed! I quite like the tackiness of that title though!

I have the us disc and the raro disc.Pick up the raro disc, without a doubt the best of the two.Raro have a bit of a sale on their website, you can grab most of their euro crime and horror dvds for about 6 euros i think,as opposed to the steep prices on ebay/diabolik etc, also kult video have cheap raro discs.

Sadly, the Raro/Nocturno version seems to be out of print and really quite scarce...bah...may have to go with the Shriek Show one...there were lots of sweet bargains on the Raro 'site though, so it wasn't all disappointing!

I've got the Shriek Show disc and can't remember any issues with the audio or picture quality (although it's been a while since I watched it). Having said that, Raro DVDs are usually top notch so that's probably the one to go for. I do remember being good bit of euro-sleaze though !!
