After watching the 4 films again recently I'm pretty sure it would still be cut. It's a nasty scene and totally out of place in the movie anyway in my opinion.

I narrowly prefer the second one. As much as I like the original it just takes too long to get going.

Yes it was a thoroughly gratuitous sequence, I think that was the main problem as much as anything else. Apart from this I thought it was an amazing film.

Pity that.
It OOZES with atmosphere,but is the slowest film of the series.
However,the scene where our heroes think they've escaped on the beach,and they turn round and the Templars are standing in the surf,is simply genius.

I do like it, but I agree with the poll in respect of this one - definitely the weakest of the series.

I bought the ABUK boxset as I'd never seen any of the Blind Dead flicks and I still haven't watched any of them, I'll have to remedy that in the near future.If I really like the first movie I suppose I could always buy the uncut BU single disc release.
