About the only thing I remember about the New Twilight Zone is watching it on channel 4 on friday nights back to back with an anime they showed. (I think the anime was called Devil Man or something like that, anyone remember that?)

I remember one episode, set entirely in a diner, about a Vietnam "vet" who remembers things so vividly, the horrors of war follow him around. Bad news for the people at the diner he stops at!

I remember that one, because it was one I happened to tape so watched it a lot.

That was Nightcrawlers, directed by William Friedkin. I remember when that was first on and I was recording it, right at the moment when the frying pan flies across the room my local news cuts in for some stupid BS coverage. When they come back, the story is over. I had to wait for a rerun to see what happened! Scott Paulin was great in that.

I didn't know that.

It's funny how this thread reminded me of the anime, Devilman.

I had completely forgoton about it. But I typed Devilman in to google and sure enough I was right! I might try and track it down on DVD.

Nightcrawlers is a brilliant episode - the strongest episode of the first 80's series If I remember. Alot of good stuff on that series.

One of my fave episodes is The After Hours from season 2. Mannequins!

I love the 80's series more than the originals. It's because of childhood nostalgia, yes - unashamedly. I used to stay up really late as a kid to watch these on ITV when they on in the early hours.

I have the cinema club boxsets. The quality is bad but I'm not sure I can justify/afford double dipping. Great they have a better release coming, though. Especially for first time viewers.

Oh they remade The After Hours? That's a season one sixties episode if I remember rightly. I'm quite looking forward to checking out the 80's show. I'm not as familiar with it as I should be.

I remember I did watch quite a few episodes of the 80's show when it first aired over here, but for the life of me I can't actually recall what any of them were about. Old age I'm afraid!
