I like the way he has commented on the position of each film within our lists, and also included the films that didn't make the Top 100.

It's also interesting to see how similar certain people are in their tastes in some respects, but completely different in others!

It wasn't very fancy, I just scored them like this: 1st place gets 100, 2nd place gets 99, and it carries all the way down to 100th place getting 1 point. An easy thing that helped me to keep track if I ever lost my place was a simple formula:

101 - y = x

with y being rank on a voters list, and x being the points it received. It wasn't very complicated at all.

The 70s thread will be up in a matter of minutes.

As Justin has reopened this until the end of the year, it gives me a chance to come up with my own top 25 because I missed the cut off date for this one. It will be very tough as many of my favourite horror films come from this decade, so whittling the list down to just 25 will be very, very tough.

Cool, thanks. Managed to view the list. Agreed with most of the choices. Think it is a good selection for people who weren't around at the time but need pointing in the right direction for a good nights viewing. Might disagree with some of the placings but thats always gonna happen with a poll. Good work, look forward to seeing the 70's results.
