Some good news about Slaughter High on DVD. News posted on Horrormovies.ca in the week about an uncut release:

Yeah I'm looking forward to this. Slaughter High remains in my opinion as one of the very best examples of what the '80s had to offer. I speak with a lot of bias perhaps and its crapness will put off a lot of the more serious and mainstream loving viewers but as a whole I think it's a very fun film - as are most Dick Randall productions. Everything from the posters of Pieces and the like, the old looking teenagers, high school setting (also used in The Redeemer), hammy acting, shoddy American accents, cheesy gore effects and the hilarious dialogue make this a winner, how can anyone not like a film with the following in it:

"Talk dirty to me, Frank"

"Errrr, ****... tits... screw!"

It'll be interesting to see how it compares to the old Vestron R-Rated VHS I have. I'm really not sure if mine is uncut or not but if it isn't then it's certainly gory enough with the stomach exploding and acid bath scenes both intact.

The unrated Vestron VHS came in a black box. The R-rated VHS came in a red one.

The old UK video was cut (32 secs) by the BBFC.

ive got both uk and unrated versions and i cant rlly see the difference,u get to see Stella's burnt tits for a few secs longer but i did notice anything else

UK video cuts.......

At 48 mins - All shots showing burnt breasts and pubic area of woman in bath as she is burnt by acid were removed.

At 60 mins - When man and woman copulate, shortly after the words "I'm coming", all sight of naked woman with bare breasts being electrocuted were removed, resuming on CU of ceiling light.
