That isn't real though so would have no problems passing the bbfc in the slightest.

There's an extensive docu on him on youtube that was never released it seems,it's titled Black Sunshine: Conversations with T.F. Mou.
The only other film of his that I have seen is Nanking massacre (men behind the sun 4) but I only really watch horror so haven'y looked into his other stuff, which films of his do you recommend?

Men Behind the Sun isn't really horror either,it's more "historical-exploitation" (which may or may not have been the intent of the filmmaker) like other HK/Chinese films concerning the Japanese horrors inflicted on the Chinese (think Comfort Women and 1941 Hong Kong on Fire for example).

I'd recommend having a look at Lost Souls (1980) to start things off,it's an (again) very explicit (and exploitative?) social drama about refugees from mainland China who are taken prisoner by ruthless slave traders.
This was made when he was still working for Shaw Brothers btw.

Here's what I found:
"- the DVD in question - which was released by World Video and Supply Inc. - is widescreen, not fullscreen
- it's uncut, but apparently was converted from a PAL master (unlike the Japan Shock DVD)
- it has English, Mandarin, and Cantonese language tracks, w/o subtitles (whereas the Japan Shock DVD had a Mandarin one w/ optional English or Dutch subtitles)"

"The color's a bit more vibrant than the Japan Shock DVD, but it appears to have been sourced from a video master as it's also less sharp and the lack of subtitles (to understand the film one must watch it badly dubbed in kung fu flick voices) are a huge negative."

Both are non-anamorphic it seems btw.

The Dutch dvd's are oop, here's what they look like:

The "Special Edition" seems to be a 2-discer.
I own the 1-disc edition myself.

Seems the Dutch 2-discer has this 52 min docu on Unit 731 as a bonus:
Kizu (les fantômes de l'unité 731) (2004) - IMDb

Thanks Bruno! I'm going to do some searching for the Dutch discs to check the prices.
