THE BURNING ON BLU RAY
 

Hi guys, as I now have a blu ray player, what's the best release of "the burning" to own?

I maybe wrong but I think Scream Factory is the only Blu Ray release of The Burning at the minute. Are you region free?

There are only two decent releases of The Burning so far. Shout! Factory's 2013 release, including a Blu-ray (Region A) and a DVD version (Region 1) of the film, and the 2007 MGM / 20th Century Fox DVD (Region 1).

I own the MGM / 20th Century Fox release and can recommend it. Great picture and sound quality. According to several online sources, the Shout! Factory Blu-ray is also very good.

I have the Scream Factory blu, and it's really good and worth getting if you are region free, if not then I've heard that the Aus one is the same transfer

The Australian Blu-ray seems to lack almost all Scream! Factory special features except for the 'Blood 'n' Fire Memories' featurette.

Yeah, I'd guess it's only worth buying if you don't have a region free player (unless extras don't bother you, like most Shameless fanboys :p )
