Default Ghost Town (1988)?

Hello!

I was just wondering, has anybody seen [U]Ghost Town[U] (1988)? I hear good stuff about it, but NOBODY (that I know off) has released it on DVD and it's going into abscurity!

The trailer looks brilliant. I know this film doesn't really fit into the present Shameless series, but perhaps it would make a nice Shameless release in a future Shameless series? Just thinking this as it hasn't had a proper DVD release has quite a few fans + would appeal to lots of people.

Has anyone seen this?

Cheers!

I've got the old EIV video of this. Very little gore but an entertaining little film and well worthy of a DVD release.

It's been shown along with another of the better Empire productions PRISON several times in the past on Zone Horror. It's likely they'll show it again.Paramount probably have the rights though.Very entertaining indeed & well made.

Last time I checked I heard MGM were holding the rights....meaning it'll most likely remain unreleased in some vault.....

I remember this very well, as it was one of my first rental VHS tapes from the very much restricted "adults" section of a Munich video store.
Of course, even the litttle gore present was cut in the German reelase....but it's a very atmospheric and entertaining little film, which I'd be more than happy to pick up on DVD...until then my VHS copy from '89 will have to do...IF the tape still palys....

Plus: the original VHS cover artwork was very cool!

I've always quite liked this movie - as someone above said, it's shown regularly on ZoneHorror. I'll have to get a copy off there, actually. But it does need a DVD release, certainly.
