Mine arrived today. If I can ever get near the bloody telly before the wee hours I'll give it a spin.

Agreed, although I could hear Baird fine the damn thing looked like it was shot on Hi8. This is not that big of a surprise though. I have found that Code Red does not put a whole lot of time or money in their extras. Actually in cleaning up most of their prints either. Madman looks just like it did from the old Anchor Bay release. I enjoy some of the rare titles they have but I just wish they would spend a bit more time on the quality.

Seems the first pressing of Code Red's Nightmare has sold out,the second pressing no longer has the "Limited Edition: No More Than 100,000 Copies Will Be Pressed" joke on the bottom of the front cover.

I guess that makes the first pressing collectible now?

Glad I bought two then.

So much for the 'joke' -- I imagine they're laughing all the way to the bank!

The commentary track is well worth listening to, full of interesting factoids about the film like the scene where George Tatum dumps the body of the girl - shot at Cape Canaveral, it was supposed to feature a space shuttle launch in the background (something a NASA nut like me would have appreciated!) but they never got it...

I was amazed how much Baird Stafford remembered!
Of course it helped he had watched the film before (on vhs),most actors don't watch their films it seems.

Funny to see people over at AV Maniacs curious about the original notes on the first pressing cover.
I'm actually curious about the notes on the second pressing cover...

I watched the 4:3 version on disc one and then the commentary straight after I thought it was really good, with remarkable AV quality and a thoroughly enjoyable and revealing commentary.

I'll have to give disc two a look sometime soon.
