Lots of great films in this year as well.

Videodrome is stillrefreshing and original to this day.

But for sheer style over substance,THE KEEP is my favourite from 1983.

Cronenberg's THE DEAD ZONE is another timeless classic.

Indeed it is -- a vastly underrated film but, when you compare it to the best films the Cronenberg has made, that's understandable!

Threads was the BBC produced nuclear holocaust film wasn't it?

I've got that on DVD somewhere.....



Another classic which EVERYONE here needs to seek out is Dick Maas's THE LIFT!

I haven't seen Threads or The Lift -- is Threads available on DVD? I like the look of that poster/cover for The Lift, though.
