Default Zombi 3 production history documentary?

Hi folks,

First off, sorry if this isn't the right forum to ask about this - I'm still learning my way around here. I wondered if anyone knew whether or not there's ever been a documentary made about the production history of Zombi 3/Zombie Flesh Eaters 2, perhaps on one of its many DVD releases? Failing that, are there any really good, in-depth pieces of writing about it beyond Jay Slater's book Eaten Alive? I'm really fascinated by the back-story of this movie and it'd be nice to know if there's anything else out there about it I could watch or read...

Thanks!

The R1 DVD has some interviews with cast menbers and the FX artist, plus a commentary with lead actors Beatrice Ring and Deran Sarafian which is well worth a listen. There is an italian DVD whic also has some interviews but I think they are in italian only.

The review in Slater's book is ok, it's basically just saying how shit he think's the film is and how Fragasso and Fulci contradicted each other in various interviews. There is also an interview with Beatrice Ring which basically covers the same stuff as the commentary.

Thanks Pete - I think I'll try and track down a copy of the R1 disc. Sounds great!

The R1 disc also has the extended opening sequence lacking from most other versions. They lifted it from a Japanese LaserDisc I believe, so the quality of the opening isn't as good as the rest of the film. But I'm glad it's on there!

Although I don't mind Slater's writing, I do think his 'lad's mag' style of writing is a bit past its sell-by date now.
