A strange one this,I've seen it get good reviews, but I've NEVER been able to sit through it......Maybe because the German dvd has burned in 'Not for sale outside of Austria and Germany'.:mmph:

Anyone else seen it?

Same here, bought the hardbox, sat down to watch it and ended up giving up on it. I keep meaning to revisit it since it seems to be highly rated. The whole thing seems to bob along at a very languid pace and if I think I may even have started nodding off at some point :o

Yeah I had a nightmare trying to track down a reasonably priced copy... then noticed it's all on youtube. Not the best viewing conditions, but I enjoyed the film. Funny seeing a young John Jarrett from Wolf Creek, and the finale had some cool visual tricks - the slow motion chase scene is pretty amazing!

Yeah those burned in bollocks are REALLY distracting and annoying.
Idiots!

The forced subs didn't bother me, found the film to be pretty decent.

I have the old Atlantis (UK) pre-cert. Although I haven't watched it in a good few years I do remember it having a nice 'slow burn' feel about it and some of the scenes are genuinely unsettling.

I have the Australian DVD which I discovered is now out of print. Had it since it came out and it's still sealed. Will have to try and dig it out - all my films gave been boxed up since I moved last year.
