Any help..
Part 1 is the Unrated cut (same disc as released by Paramount), Jason Goes To Hell is the R-rated version unfortunately.

I gotta say, for me the Friday the 13th series are the Paramounts - I've never seen Jason Goes to Hell (not intentionally, it just never came my way) and I though Jason X was just okay - I remember lots of mainstream mags were falling over themselves about the film (in as much as you can about a 9th sequel) but I thought it was a little too removed from the series for its own good...

Taken as a stand alone film, experiment even, its quite a nice idea. Its not really a Friday the 13th film though. You do get Cronenberg as a bonus kill for a bit of fun.

Yep, and it was thrill to see him in it (was he uncredited ? cos I was surprised when he appeared on screen). I've seen the film a few times over the years, usually the first 30mins and it always makes me yearn for Nightbreed...

Cheers mate, thanks. That makes this very hard for me to buy now. I never have bought a cut film if there is an alternative out there and it'll annoy me no end if I start now. Ah, well, wait and see if a nice uncut boxset comes out here or the EU.

The German BD of Jason Goes to Hell is the R-rated version too. If another country releases it uncut, Warner are going to come in for even more criticism.

And it gets worse! Just found out that the digital copies included (that you can download) are all HD......and Jason Goes To Hell is the unrated version! This boxset is a complete clusterf**k!
