It works well in 3D as there are loads of obvious bits shot purely to enhance the effect. These look clunky in 2D once you've viewed in 3D. I've not watched the film in 2D since i first watched it in 3D if that makes sense.

Whilst I don't actually think that a 2D part 3 is the "nadir" of the series (Jason Takes Manhattan and Jason Goes To Hell are far worse), I find myself agreeing with the rest of the review. btw Sincere apologies to any big fans of the movie!

Nothing tops the original for me even though I do enjoy the sequels to various degrees.

I can't be bothered and don't really interest me either tbh.

Parts 1-IV are being re-released on blu by Paramount in the US between Sept and October.

I've ordered them blind in the hope of good artwork.

Here's hoping they release V,VI,VII and VIII.
