I like the following review which says something similar:

Whilst I don't actually think that a 2D part 3 is the "nadir" of the series (Jason Takes Manhattan and Jason Goes To Hell are far worse), I find myself agreeing with the rest of the review. btw Sincere apologies to any big fans of the movie!

Been years since I've seen any fri13th , and I don't think I've ever seen any past part 3 ,
I can't be bothered and don't really interest me either tbh.

Parts 1-IV are being re-released on blu by Paramount in the US between Sept and October.

I've ordered them blind in the hope of good artwork.

Here's hoping they release V,VI,VII and VIII.
