SADLY, the imho best kill of the series is featured in the dullest installment of them all: The unrated, torso-splitting tent murder in the otherwise forgettable "Jason goes to Hell".

In the "good" Fridays, I'd say my faves are Axel's twisted decapitation in "The Final Chapter", Annie's slit throat in the first "Friday" (never, ever has this slasher staple been done better than right here!) and Rick getting his eyeball squeezed out in 3D fashion in "Friday, the 13th Part III".

The tent murder was the only decent thing in JGTH.

My fave is Crispin Glovers corkscrew and machete in face in 4.

Also the head crushing in part 7 that was cut out is awesome..the blood gushes
dis likes this.

I need to give a little bit of love to Part 5! I mean, what other Friday the 13th was made by a full-blown pornographer? Plus I was never really let down by the fact it wasn't really Jason - but I figured that out anyway, because he DIED in Part 4!! What were people expecting... oh yeah, Part 6! (which is my favourite by the way, ha). I thought Part 5 was a great and would love to see the full strength version one day - apparently the sex scene by the lake flirted around hardcore territory, but that could be the director talking out his backside.

Anyway, fave kill? Part 7 - sleeping bag + tree = greatness.

Ive got to be honest and say Im not really a Friday 13th Fan. I've seen a few of them years ago (i still intened to watch all of them at some point). I dont really have a favourite of the ones I've watched but I do have a worst, Jason Takes Mahatten.

When I saw the title (and the extremely Cheap price) in HMV I knew I had to see it. I imagined Jason prowling through central park at night, Jason killing greedy yuppies in tall apartment buildings and maybe even a finalle on the Empire State Building!

Ok maybe not that last one as the film probably didnt have the biggest budget ever, but what do we end up with? Some kids on a boat going to manhattan, a chase through the sewers of New York and Jason strolling through Time Square without anyone batting and eyelid!

Howerver the artwork below is one of my favourite horror posters of all time. Its just a shame the film its promoting is pure rubbish.

Part 5 does get a lot of crap due to it's lack of Jason but it is a great sequal and a worthy part of the series.

Dissapointed part 6 wasn't called Roy Lives

Yeah, they could have brought him back via the electric bolt! Too bad he didn't win over as many hearts as Jason - it could have been a very different franchise! lol

I reckon they were all enjoyable, with the exception of part VIII.That ending beggars belief.
Phill,I'm not after owt, but once again I agree. The sleeping bag kill is genius!

I'm a huge Jason fan so here's my quick opinion of the movies

Friday the 13th....Classic slasher
2...A worthy follow up and 'makes sense' kinda!! The look of Jason kinda makes sense as a grown up version of the boy in the lake but it sticks out like a sore thumb when we see how he looks in 3 and 4.
3...Awesome, 3D, hockey mask great kills.
4...The best. Great FX, gory kills.
5...For me a great idea and nice twist. It makes sense too!!
6...The zombie Jason returns.
7...They tried something different and I thought it worked ok...Jason looks amazing in this
8...Oh god what were they thinking...the idea of Jason going to NY could have worked but he's there for 5 mins and then turns back into a kid! One of the most senseless of the series
9...Starts great. Then we have a load of crap about body jumping. A travesty
10..This movie really grew on me. I hate the Uber Jason look but I think this is a huge improvement on the previous 2.
11..I really enjoyed the team up with Freddy. Thought it finally gave both series that 'big movie' look.
12(remake) Absolute tripe. No suspense, not gory, stupid script. They made a crap slasher and threw in jason. Sackhead Jason was pretty cool though.Jason was the only redeeming thing in this, he was pretty menacing. This is my least favourite of the whole series

Super Happy

Personally, i enjoy all the F13 films but chose the seventh entry simply because i find Jason probably at his most menacing in this movie.
I have no problem with the other guys who previously played Mrs. Voorhees' little boy.
They all did a capable job but imo Kane Hodder brought a physicality to the role that is unmistakable and Jason's rotted and ravaged make-up in F13P7:TNB is the best in the series for me.
Purely for the zombified look!
