Default The Psycho Sequels

Does anyone else rate these very entertaining sequels?

PSYCHO II was a very worthy successor to a classic original, whilst PSYCHO III was very entertaining.
PSYCHO IV was so so.....and then there was Van Sant's remake
I managed to obtain a cool PSYCHO II Japanese import which (fortunately) wasn't as expensive as my last Jap import....

Any interesting snippets or facts on these sequels would be appreciated....

Also,please vote for your favourite....

Psycho II wins hands down. It was bloody brilliant that and ran the original very close in my opinion. I've only seen III once but didn't like the black humour approach and IV was entertaining if a bit on the TV movie side... typical Mick Garris really. The remake was pointless.

Yeah 2 was a fantastic film. Definitely one of the best sequels ever made.

Spot on both of you...... the fact that it was made 20 odd years after the original actually worked well for the premise....

Being a big fan of the original I really didn't think the sequel would work but was pleasantly surprised. Perkins reprises his role brilliantly, Meg Tilley was also excellent. Also enjoyed Jerry Goldsmiths score.

3 was alright but I didn't think it was in the same class.

4 was just awful I thought
