Your Favourite Horror Film from 1991 3 Attachment(s) 1991 was a year for very few(!) brilliant horror films, but which one is your favourite? What makes it special to you? When did you first see it? Would you recommend it to the uninitiated? Sometimes it's a hard decision to just pick one film (even when you're limiting it to a single year!), but my favourite film of 1991 is... The People Under the Stairs - Wes Craven Not only my favourite from 1991, but also my favourite Craven horror film, The People Under the Stairs is a fresh, original film and compared to most other horror films released in 1991; a masterpiece! Trailer: Runners Up: Afraid of the Dark Body Parts Ernest Scared Stupid Nekromantik 2 Pinocchio 964 The Pit and the Pendulum Popcorn Subspecies The Sect The Unborn Voices from Beyond |
People under the stairs is awesome. I only saw it recently, but I loved it. whats not to love about a crazy guy in a gimp suit chasing young kids around a weird trap filled house. :) |
I'm tempted to say the horror/ comedy/ musical Nudist Colony of the Dead... seriously, if you haven't seen it, you are missing out on a truly terrible, but funny experience. I agree with The People under the Stairs... Everitt McGill is SCARY in it. Special mention must go to Shock "em Dead for three reasons: the band name Spastik Colon and the other two reasons are Traci Lords. |
THE PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS is excellent. And it's nice to see somone else who likes VOICES FROM BEYOND :) |

What a cracking poster you have thumbnailed for People..Stairs, Bizarre eye. Was it painted by Rick? as it has absolutely nothing to do with the film. |

But yes, Universal did really know how to miss-sell the film to the blind-buying DVD market! |
3 Attachment(s) In 1991 there really only was one film The Silence of the Lambs An excellent serial killer film that builds up tension as it goes along. It could well be my film of the nineties. |
