I read that somewhere too, along with reading that he also wanted to make another gorey zombie film after doing Lord of the Rings but after now being side tracked with The Hobbit I guess we'll have to wait a few more years.

Oh man do I love that line. I find a way to throw it into the strangest conversations. I always get weird looks when I do but it's funny.

The americans are releasing a dead alive blu-ray.

Beware this is heavily cut. Not gore but plot and comedy elements, I made the mistake of buying this on dvd back in the days when dvd was shiney new.

I'll stick with the universal dvd in the uk until jackson delivers the goods with a decent special edition.

Oh, the gore is cut all right. I wish the notion of "unrated" meaning "uncut" would go away...

If you are not too keen on bothering with my motherlanguage, you can find translations of most cut reports of schnittberrichte.com at movie-censorship.com - a site kicked off by the same people and with the help of some of their forum users they managed to translate the lot and try to translate new reports as quickly as possible... If you miss a report there, feel free to contact them, as some reports may just require one click to make available online...

The report referenced here can be found there too:

Oh, they posted it as Dead Alive, that's why I didn't find it. Thanks.

Yeah, I had the same problem when I looked for the link to post, but did not see that this could have been the same for you - anyways, good to see that the page is known!
