Are you suggesting I should write stuff that will corrupt children? Careful how you answer that...

Yep, think of all those kids who were corrupted by EC comics in the 50's - a lot of them went on to become major film makers !

It's probably better to fill teeny boppers' heads with horror and a little t&a than it is with the mediocrity of those poxy Twilight books.

I don't think I've seen it since it came out to rent, and I'd have been 10 or 11 tops. My Mum really likes it, which I think puts me off because her favourite film is What's Love Got To Do With It? - The Tina Turner Story

There's nothing wrong with that Tina flick, Baseball Fury. As I used to say when I worked in the rental store at the time of its release, if you're a fan of TT it does a great job of depicting her earlier years and if you don't like her? Well, you get to see Larry Fishburne beat her up...

Haha, by proxy I've seen it about 20 times so I know it well, but all the namyo ho rengyay kyo bit was annoying.

I think I like it up to the point where Ike beats her up with a cowboy boot. After that it gets a bit TV melodrama.

They should make a film about Ike.

I'm rambling now.

I saw it when it was on TV once and I really liked it. I went in expecting a bloodbath but what I got was a good well told story and good acting (past Reeve's accent). I never bought the dvd so i suppose when I buy the blu it'll be the only edition ive had

I tried to read a Stephanie Meyer book and had to give up. Badly written and full of syrupy prose that wasn't engaging at all. I really wanted to give it a fair crack, but it was awful. How are these books bestsellers?

I asked myself the same question after sitting through the first film - I know most of us love to hate TWILIGHT but I will say that I really didn't hate it - it left me completely unmoved - it really is the epitome of mediocrity. I never bothered with the sequels.
