Default Freddy VS Jason (2003)

Well what are your thoughts on the big crossover of the slashers?

And incidentally, shouldn't there be other crossover VS movies between slashers?

This movie made good money and is by and large very popular. Now why in this case do they not make more of these things? Why not Chucky VS Leprechaun? Why Not Leatherface VS Michael? Why not Freddy VS Victor? Why not Deadites VS Cenobites and have an Ash VS Pinhead fight in the same movie?

I'm not a fan of these cross over mish-mashs. The only mix of two films that I thought (almost) worked was the Alien/Predator franchise. I do expect more of this type of film coming out though as Hollywood is bereft of any ideas. After Universal had introduced all their monsters and ran out of ideas they were the first to crossover in a bid to cram more people into the cinemas.

I don't mind Freddy Vs Jason, I enjoyed it but ultimately nobody wins the fight as they want the character alive to make more money from.

I like Freddy vs Jason. It's great fun.

Miramax touted a Michael vs Pinhead movie shortly after the success of FvJ but it died a slow death in development hell.

They could've called it Helloween. I'm not sure how effective it could've been, I mean, Pinhead just appearing from nowhere would no doubt confuse Michael no end. Not sure how you could tie the two franchises together...? At least with Freddy and Jason they kind of occupied the same universe. But Michael and Pinhead? They're completely different altogether.

Completely agree. It managed to use the best of both franchises thus keeping it relevant and extremely entertaining.

I've been hunting for a TPB of those for ages, but it's impossible to find anymore.

I quite enjoyed FVJ.. would love to see a sequel.. if it does happen, they should use Hodder instead of Kirzinger I think Kane was a better Jason
