I've seen the first three, but only really liked the first one. The sequels I've seen have put me off watching the rest.

I liked the first 3 films! IV was the last OK one for me, but V was just absolutely dreadful. So I don't think I'll be watching the sixth one. I thought VI was supposedly the last one, but now I just read that VII has been greenlighted! Personally, I think they should stop now and save the franchise for what it is. |

Ive been a huge fan of the Saw series since it started and apart from being slightly underwhelmed by Part 4 I've really enjoyed all of them, 1, 3 and 5 being my favourites. I went to see 6 last night and unfortunatley found it pretty underwhelming aswell It's not a bad film by any means and still an enjoyable ride but there just didnt seem to be anything that really made it stand out (for me anyway), the traps felt a bit lacklustre (even though there's a fair bit of bloodletting ) all bar the carousel/ shotgun trap which made for a really intense scene. As for the storyline, obviously I wont give any details away but it wraps up the entire series really and ties up all the loose ends (the game really does come full circle) which is kind of leaving me a bit baffled as to where they're gonna take Saw VII |

Saw VI
Not sure if this has been posted anywhere else but I was wondering if anyone's seen Saw VI yet? I'm probably going next week and have heard it's better that Saw V (which I actually really liked) but I was curious as to what to expect... Similar to the other Saw films or different?

Astonishingly this has been given an X rating in Spain and the release has been postponed. |

Watched it last night, the best Saw film since Part III in my opinion; liked the inculsion of a topical theme surrounding the Health insurance company! Nice touch. It also has one hell of a bodycount!! I actually lost count...

I thought the first "Saw" was OK - skilfully done, drew you in, good idea... The second film was far less pleasing being shot in an appallingly flashy style, the plot was relatedd in a rather patronising manner and characterisation was clumsily handled - all the signs of a duff director. However, it was a decent basic idea and the script was solid enough with some inventive traps and such. There was also a bravura performance by Shawnee Smith which counted for a lot. So it was watchable and passed the time OK. The other night, I finally saw "Saw III" on TV. What a load of tosh! None of the stylistics excesses of "Saw II" had been improved, indeed they were worse and more distracting, the story was rubbish, the dialogue clanged like a spanner in a lift shaft and even Shawnee was hammy and unconvincing. I actually felt insulted by the film and its makers and could not enjoy anything about it. Utter rubbish IMO. You can guess that I don't really have any interest in seeing any of the other "Saw" films! The franchise died with "Saw III" for me, and it is a shame that it is still being flogged instead of some Hollywood money being put into developing new ideas. *grumble...grumble* Sequels! Remakes *grumble...moan...grumble* |
