hey people
just wondering if anyone has seen this new brit horror flick? it looks quite good and had Jim sturgess in it. it came out in cinemas Friday and is out on dvd tomorrow.

It's a film that's really split people down the middle since it premiered at Frightfest last summer, with people either loving it or hating it and not a lot of middle ground...

... I loved it. People will complain about the changes in tone, but it's a film that gets better with repeat viewings, knowing the twists and turns the story takes. Sentimental and emotional bits on among the gruesome scary ones, which is a nice change (particularly like the Timothy Spall cameo).

Check out Philip Ridley's first two films, The Reflecting SKin and The Passion Of Darkly Noon, if you can as well.

I was meant to go Frightfest last year but my mate cancelled on me
Hope to go to this years.
My local indie cinema is playing Heartless so might go check it out as it will be cheaper then buying it in case I dont like it ha ha

I'm a Ridley fan, his Reflecting Skin is still one of my favorite unreleased films. I just had to see Heartless when it was announced and once I actually did get to see it, I wasn't at all disappointed. Chances are I'll be purchasing it for my collection as it was an intelligent and effective urban horror film.
