Apparently it went down quite well at last years Frightfest, I bought it the other day & will be watching it later today. I'll let you know how well it goes down. :thumb:

I`ve just watched it,not bad,I had read the IMDB reviews and read about a reference to it being made in Brookside close,I thought that was just a joke.....it wasnt, it really was filmed in Brookside close even the inside of the main characters house is instantly recognisable as being Bobby and Shiela Grants.

Well I watched Salvage earlier today and I must say... I throughly enjoyed it! If we keep producing films of this calibre in this country, the state of U.K. horror is going to be very healthy for a long time.

Filmed in Liverpool, it's set in a normal suburban cul-de-sac (I believe it's actually the old set of Brookside) on Christmas Eve. I don't really want to say to much as I don't want to spoil it, but for some reason there is a military presence in the neighbourhood ordering the residents to stay in their homes. It reminded me a little of The Crazies & Right at Your Door to start with but soon becomes apparent this film is a very different beast to those movies!

Superb cast brilliantly acted, very suspenseful the tension is unbearable at times & yes theres plenty of the nasty stuff to keep the most seasoned of gorehounds happy! It clocks in at about an hour twenty so it doesn't outstay it's welcome & keeps it edge throughout. This is very much a welcome addition to my collection. I throughly recommend it. :thumb:
