Default The Collector (2009)

I saw The Collector at the cinema last night and can't believe the slating it's received on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes. I ****ing loved this movie!

It's not the Saw rip-off people have called it, if anything it's much scarier than Saw.

Here's my review. (contains spoilers)

Has anyone else seen it? What did you think?

I haven't yet but I really want to. Empire gave it a 4 star review which is very rare for their horror write ups so I'm assuming it is good. My girlfriend is dragging me to the advanced screenings of Eclipse on Saturday so maybe I'll drag her to see The Collector after dinner, mwoo ha ha ha! What goes around comes around

I saw it last night, totally with you on this one robertzombie, throughly enjoyed it, quite visceral in places (pretty sure I saw Gary Tunicliffe's name come up as special makeup effects designer so no suprise there).

A woman actually walked out half way through the screening I attended
(followed by her boyfriend 5 minutes later. I think he really wanted to stay & watch it all! )

I have to admit though, me & my mate did have a bit of a chuckle during the scene with the cat!!

Don't get me wrong, I don't like seeing animals hurt or suffering in any way, shape or form (obviously no cat was harmed in the making of the film) but it was a bit of a comedic moment!

If this film does well enough, I smell a new franchise looming on the horizon.

Sorry to say but I saw it in theaters and found it to be just awful.

Not to give anything away but I love the alternative ending on the DVD.Most realistic ending in a horror movie ever.
