I hope so. I miss my annual slice of carnage. The films on the whole were a lot of fun and very gory.

and also very repetitive!

The story arcs started to become more and more ridiculous as the franchise went on too (although I must admit I've only seen the first five films). I'm expecting the next one to be along the lines of someone gives birth to a baby who is the re-incarnation of 'Jigsaw' and the carnage starts all over again...

It's the repetition that works for me and the majority of the series fans. I couldn't give a monkeys about the story i just want to see weird and wonderful bloody traps and OTT death scenes.

I get you, but you need the whole film to build up a little suspense for each trap.

The whole Jigsaw ins and outs and is he alive, dead, or just a toy on a bike. That was the silly part.

'Saw 4' was the one where people were killed by elaborate traps, where 'Saw 5' used elaborate traps to kill people

Hope this helps!

This franchise has never been great but it is entertaining on the whole. I enjoyed 1, 2, 3 and 6. I don't like 4 and 5 too much and 7 is just awful.
