I love 70s Italian cinema too (gialli in particular) and I actually quite enjoyed Amer.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

some good reviews there but just like some people on here and others, I have heard that its not a very good movie.
I still wanna see it, it looks very intriguing.

While I've been promoting this I've been saying that it takes Inspiration from Giallo movies but it's more of an arthouse reworking of the style and look of those films, rather than a Giallo itself.

Come to the movie with that in mind and it won't disappoint in my view. It's a visual feast rather than a plot-driven movie.

Here's my latest blog post, with a clip that I think Illustrates this quite well...

I´m one of those...

I sincerely wanted to like this movie.

I saw it three times but with no luck.
I hate this movie. Sorry.

Here's is the humourous (hopefully) blog post on Giallo genre ticks that I wrote to help promote Amer, based on replies in a thread elsewhere in the Amer section.

I thought it was excellent and my review at Film 365 is now live if it will help you to understand what it is like.
