Default Yep...

Enjoyed that film, was tense in places and the whole remoteness of the setting added to the tension.

I agree with the majority opinion here -- I've never understood why this one was so maligned. No, it's not perfect, and I probably spot another flaw or two every time I watch it, but I still think it's one of the better horror films of the last 15 years or so. I don't hesitate to recommend 30 DAYS OF NIGHT to friends who haven't seen it.

Have you seen the direct to dvd sequel, Dark Days?

That's one to avoid.

Yes, and agreed 100%.

Any fans of the graphic novels in here? I've never read any of the spin-offs, but I love the first few books.

One of the better modern horror films.
Genuinely scary and intense.
