They had better leave The Craft well alone. Same goes for Overboard. Lopez! No!!!
Same goes for Don't Look Now – the last time there was a remake of a highly regarded horror film from the 1970s, it was The Wicker Man with Nicolas Cage and the bees! Which actors could possibly be as realistic a married couple as Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie were in the original? Also, it would be nigh on impossible to do that level of filming in Venice (where the film and source material were set) nowadays.

IT is in production but Will Poulter is no longer Pennywise it's the Youngest Skarsgard, Bill.

At least I think it's in production they have released pics of Bill in full make-up.

I can just imagine it with some former tv starlet who refuses to do nudity in the Christie role and relocating it to Venice Beach, Ca.

Either that or they'll set it in Paris, Berlin, or London or somewhere else which could be made to look vaguely sinister with the right cinematography.

The last film with a similarly believable married couple was A History of Violence, in which Maria Bello and Viggo Mortensen were the most plausible on-screen married couple since 1973.

I haven't read the article but i sure to god hope they intend to remake the original film and not the iconic Pacino film.

It looks to be a remake of the Brian De Palma film, not the Howard Hawks one, just as the Magnificent Seven remake is of that film and not The Seven Samurai. Given Antoine Fuqua's close working relationship with the actor, it would also be a surprise if Denzel Washington did not have a major role.
