Fair plays if you like the look of it, but to me it's just a posing pop tart version of a classic song, and something inside me dies when i watch it.

I actually like that opening sequence. Mind you, the original opening was so minimalist they couldn't really mess it up, could they? A black screen with a pair of (admittedly iconic) lips and then some red, dripping words over the same black background. It's nice to see some images alongside the credits. However, they missed a trick by NOT having the Usherette lick her lips after the line 'When tarantula took to the hills'! 'Lick It' is one of the standard audience participation shout out lines As someone who has worked in a cinema, it's also good to see that the Usherette has just about the correct amount of attitude - bored, jaded, tired, 'don't care if you like the film or not, I'm just doing my job. Now take your popcorn and leave me alone' keirarts and nosferatu42 like this.
