Guessing Stephen King is in vogue after the success of It.
Maybe remake some stuff that wasn't great to begin with? The original Pet Sematary was pretty good, so not sure what else they could do?

They could always make something of King's that hasn't been filmed before.

Perhaps not condense 7 million pages of Dark Tower into 90 minutes though...

'Hocus Pocus' to be remade, and Bette Midler isn't happy

Once more, only a link...

Why not add a few lines... what you think about it... how you feel about it... why you posted it in the first place...

To be blunt, posting only a link is quite superficial and trivial. It increases one's number of posts (and possibly the number of likes as well), but apart from that - is it really necessary...

---

With regards to the thread's topic, I generally think that it is quite disappointing to see so many remakes of classic films and less and less imaginative new productions.

The original link gave nothing away - https://pagesix.com/2017/10/31/bette...26579f881108d6

At least I took the time to note what it was, so that people could make up their own minds whether they looked at it or not

This thread is about remakes, and the story concerns a remake, therefore it is justified in putting it here

The same could be said about the constant complaints that are made!

I appreciate you adding text to give the link context, but it would be even better – and this goes for everyone – if you could put the first paragraph (or few paragraphs, if not the whole article) to make clicking on the link even more optional and say if you have any feelings about the proposed remake. At least that way there can be a discussion about the project, not the post.

I haven't seen Hocus Pocus – I'm not sure why – so I am ambivalent about remaking it. I can understand why those who were involved in the original film of consider it a childhood favourite the less than enthused about the idea of remaking something they hold dear.

I'm quite amazed that the remake frenzy is still carrying on unabated. I would have thought they'd be running out of classic horrors to be remade. It won't be long before they start remaking the remakes....
