The Strange Colour Of Your Body's Tears (2013)

I've just noticed that this new giallo will be showing in my local cinema shortly. Has anybody seen it yet? It looks like it should be worth a watch on the big screen going by the reviews.

I put a review up on the 'What have you seen recently' thread the other day.
Bizarre, doesn't make a lot of sense story wise, but great visuals, constantly interesting and good music. I liked it.:)

Your typical giallo then. :)

nosferatu42 25th May 2014 08:55 PM

It's definitely not a typical giallo, more a giallo/ arthouse hybrid ,if you've seen their previous film Amer it's pretty much more of the same.
It's available to rent/buy on Playstation 3 store which is how i saw it.

Have a look at the trailers.

It's fantastic and if being seen should definitely be done so on the big screen. The sound design is incredible.

Amazon.com have it streaming I think. It's not getting a bluray release over here, just DVD, which is such a shame considering how beautiful the film looks. Gonna wait for the US release and hope that comes out in HD, if not will break with tradition and purchase an online HD copy. Best film of the year so far for me and cannot wait to see it again. Hell, I probably will pick up the DVD :)

Blinkbox.com also have it available for online rental for the princely sum of 99p (while it's on offer). Hated it unfortunately - too much style over substance for me.

I can't believe they would not release this on Blu in the UK. Does anyone know who is releasing the DVD?

Argentofan 26th June 2014 03:38 PM

Metrodome

JAMIOUSE 26th June 2014 08:30 PM

I bought it on Monday while in HMV, I only went in for a look! The other week I did the same thing and ended up buying The Simpsons Season 16. Strange Colour was only £7.99 so I couldn't say no. It is a shame it hasn't got a Blu release and I think a few reviews have picked up on this missed opportunity, especially as it's a 'visual' film. I might get around to watching it next week.

basi_sunny 29th June 2014 04:40 AM

the problem is that all the sites mentioned above only work if u live in UK....not available in other parts of the world...and did not release in Canada except in the film festival....so desperate to see this.....

Scyther 30th June 2014 06:41 PM

Almost pulled the trigger on the UK DVD over at Diabolik, but crossing my fingers for a US Blu release somewhere down then line. Not normally an AV snob, but considering my region free DVD is in the bedroom on a tiny TV and my R1 Blu is in the living room on nice widescreen, I think hi def is the only way to viewing this flick, as well as Amer before it!

I also picked this up over the weekend, surprisingly HMV Bristol had at least seven copies on the shelf.

Mine too, which had all gone over a few days. Promising.

PaulD 13th September 2014 02:18 PM

This is now on UK Netflix in HD :)

The American blu-ray is region B friendly.

Demoncrat 11th September 2017 09:35 PM

Still haven't seen this. Grew to love Amer after all that ....
