When they first announced REC 4, I remember reading a synopsis about just that.
I wonder if they have an idea for a 5th movie after all.

I haven't seen this entry yet. I'm in no hurry either. I thought that the first two films were AMAZING but was pretty disappointed with the third film (it wasn't bad, just generic). I decided not to keep [rec] 3: Genesis and so far, I haven't encountered anyone who really liked Apocalypse. It's come in for a lot of criticism. It seems like the franchise peaked with the 2007 and 2009 films.

The first two films were definitely the best in the series, and the way they rank in quality is probably the same as the release order. However, the third instalment seems to improve with every viewing and, although I have only seen it twice, I wasn't overly disappointed with Apocalypse. Whether that was a case of low expectations or whether it really did impress me is something I'll never know.
