Default Stake Land (2010)

I caught this movie recently and have to say that's probably "movie of the year" for me, so far. The tone of it ends up a little like The Road, but not quite as bleak. It's great to see Vampires looking grungy again and not like high school students. Stake Land is so far removed from the Twiglet franchise, it's untrue. After Mulberry Street and now this, Jim Mickle is a Director whose career I'm watching with great interest.

I'll elaborate more in a review and post it here when completed. i just wondered if anyone else here had seen it as I haven't come across any other thread about it.

Sorry if it has been discussed elsewhere.

this is one of my most eagerly awaited films of the year, Mulberry Street was great and this one has apparently been getting good reviews too.

I enjoyed it!!
It was very good and Connor Paolo is awesome in it!

It did remind me a lot of the road which I also liked. So if you like the road and vamps then you will love this.

Nice, an unexpected treat, luckily I checked the EPG at 11pm just as it was about to start.

One of my all time favourite horrors, along with The Signal. I'm sure you're all looking like this now but it's just how I feel :-P

Really good film i love that it has a real downbeat vibe and a thick heavy feeling of hopelessness. Overall i was really surprised by it. Any other fans of this film.
