Official Announcement The Green Inferno - Announcement

Hi all,

It's been a while since I posted news of an upcoming release, and what an awesome one it is to start off. One for all fans of the original Cannibal Holocaust for sure!

The Green Inferno

"Bloody, gripping but you can't look away" - Stephen King

Master of horror, Eli Roth (Aftershock, Hostel, Cabin Fever) brings his trademark brand of twisted gore to the screen once again with new shock cannibal film THE GREEN INFERNO, which will be released in selected cinemas on 12 February this year.

The film tells the tale of a group of student activists from New York who travel to South America on a trip of a lifetime to help save a tribe in danger of extinction. Disaster strikes when the plane they are travelling in crashes into the Amazon jungle and they are taken hostage by the natives that they had intended to protect. The group face a harrowing struggle to escape the tribe they’ve been brutally captured by, witnessing the ritualistic murders of their friends and eventually turning on each other in order to survive.

THE GREEN INFERNO is Roth’s first directorial feature since 2007’s Hostel: Part Two and stars Lorenza Izzo (Aftershock), Daryl Sabara (John Carter, Halloween), Ariel Levy (Aftershock), Kirby Bliss Blanton (Project X, Scar) and Sky Ferreira. Based on a script co-written with Guillermo Amodo (Aftershock), and produced by Molly Conners (Killer Joe, Welcome to the Punch), THE GREEN INFERNO is one of the most anticipated horror films of 2016.

In cinemas from Friday 12th Feb. 2016.

On DVD & Blu-Ray from Monday 22nd Feb. 2016 and for download from Monday 15th Feb. 2016. Visit here to pre-order yours.

================================================

So, who's looking forward to this modern day nasty, heavily inspired by the notorious CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST?

Keep an eye on this thread for more news related to the film and the UK cinema screenings...

I expected more, too many silly moments that took away from the suspense, but I'll probably still get it.

Yeah, there were a few stupid scenes that we could have done without but overall a pretty good job.

Meh. It's not as bad as 'Knock Knock' though.

Looking forward to this definitely. A directors cut suggests more cannibalism.

I'm expecting a better film than the last cannibal film i watched - Cannibal Terror.

I read that there is only one cut of the film which is the one that everyone who has seen it has already seen and that Roth simply likes the sound of 'Director's Cut'...

Not seen this yet but I am curious, i'm not expecting much but I'm sure I'll still buy it
