Official Announcement Rob Zombie's 31

Hi everyone,

We're thrilled to be supporting the UK release of Rob Zombie's latest horror film, the grindhouse gorefest 31. Those with a fear of clowns...look away now!

31

“Fast-paced, violent and fun” - Bloody Disgusting

The Hills Have Eyes meets The Running Man as cult horror icon and hard rocker Rob Zombie returns with an ultra-violent grindhouse-infused slasher, directed with his inimitable, no holds barred style, with an all-star cast headed up by the legendary Malcolm McDowell.

Key talent:

Director
Rob Zombie (Director, House of 1000 Corpses, Devil’s Rejects, House of Salem, Halloween)

Starring
Malcolm McDowell (Clockwork Orange, Caligula, If, Halloween, Cat People)
Sheri Moon Zombie (Devil’s Rejects, House of Salem, Halloween)
Judy Geeson (Lords of Salem, Doomwatch, 10 Rillington Place, Inseminoid)
Meg Foster (Pretty Little Liars, Twin Peaks, They Live, The Osterman Weekend)
Richard Brake (Hannibal Rising, Batman Begins, Outpost)
Daniel Roebuck (Dudes, Project X, River’s Edge, Lost, The Fugitive)

Synopsis:

A camper van of carnival workers are kidnapped in the middle of nowhere by a trio of debauched decadents. Set loose in a derelict factory compound full of creepy passages containing nasty traps, the abductors, led by the maliciously murderous Father Murder, place bets on who will survive the longest in a 12-hour period of pain and maim against an array of sadistic clowns with such charmingly clear-cut nicknames as Psycho-Head, Sick-Head, Death-Head and Sex-Head. You have been warned!

You'll Love It Because

What say we hunt these freaks down and cut their throats?” So says Sheri Moon Zombie as the hunted turns hunter in horror mastermind Rob Zombie’s latest gore-soaked killer thriller 31, a demented trip through the most terrifying funhouse you’ve ever visited.

Mixing Tobe Hooper-esque Seventies grindhouse scares with the nerve-shredding thrills of The Running Man, Zombie has fashioned a crowd-pleasing horror shocker that received a riotous reception at its UK premier at the Horror Channel FrightFest in London in August.

As usual, Zombie has put together a fantastic cast, including cinema icon Malcolm MacDowell (Alex in Clockwork Orange), channelling his infamous lead role in Caligula here, as the sinister organiser of the 31 game; veteran Brit horror icon Judy Geeson (Inseminoid, Fear in the Night); Daniel Roebuck (Dudes, Project X, River’s Edge, Lost, The Fugitive); adult star Ginger Lynn; and the great Tracey Walter (Conan, Batman, The Silence of the Lambs).

Sure to be devoured by Zombie’s legion of fans, eager to sink their teeth into his latest trademark offering, 31 is a sick, slick blood-drenched rock ‘n’ roll rollercoaster ride of terror. So sit back, strap yourself in, and break out the popcorn. In hell, everybody loves popcorn.

Brilliant stuff!

It sounds fantastic, back to his weird and schlocky best and featuring Judy Geeson and Meg Foster from The Lords of Salem.

Quality artwork as well.

I'm looking forward to it as well, I think, if I recall it run into trouble with the MPAA but I might have made that up. This wont be on at any cinemas near to me so I'll probably rent it on Amazon Video on or around the release date.

I've been looking forward to this for awhile now, it's had some bad reviews, but as a fan of RZ, I'm sure I'll love it. Can't see it appearing anywhere near me though, so I'll have to watch it in the comfort of my home, with a beer or two

I just finished watching it. Tbh, I wasn't expecting much, but I loved it. The ending (which I obviously won't spoil for those who haven't seen it), annoyed me at first, but the more I think about it, it was actually pretty perfect for the film.

Is it one you'd pick up on disc?

It is, actually. I'm definitely going to pick it up when it hits blu. It seems to be one of those films that has really divided people though. You either love it or despise it.
