I loved the first film, so I have high hopes for the sequel. The same people are making it. If the production art is anything to go by, we could be in for some Mario Bava style stuff.

Yes I really enjoyed the original too.I thought the '18' was harsh considering what Wilderness got away with at a '15'.

I only found out about this today when I saw someone on ebay selling the US film poster - so it looks like it must be close to release (?). I only rewatched this again the other day and still enjoy it every time; I think it's a film that stands up very well to repeated viewing . The - possible - synopsis on Wikipedia sounds great with them actually progressing the story rather than just plonking a new cast of victims in the same situation . I eagerly await this one!

I see where you're coming from there, but the film does feature one rather bloody eye gouge, and from what I recall the BBFC don't like eye gouges very much.

No they don't, if they removed the eye scene I think the film would have got a 15

I really enjoyed the first one, so I'd certainly welcome another outing.

This is probably one of the upcoming releases I'm most excited about right now.

I've yet to catch the original Outpost let alone the forthcoming sequel but i do own the first film on DVD and based on the positive reactions surrounding said title i'm looking forward to an initial viewing of Outpost sooner or later. Afterwards, i'll surely be in a more informed frame of mind to tackle the second effort.

I suggest you watch it ASAP! Seriously, it really is very good, and I particularly think Mike Smiley gives a great performance in it.
