Same disc to all intents and purposes, the Aussie release is also released by Starz/Anchor Bay. But it's Region B, so I can watch it.

This, along with Piranha 3D and The Thing (can't compare the original/remake of The Fly as i've not seen the original yet), are the only remakes that I personally thought were better than the original.

What the...? The remake of I Spit... better than the original? Well, we're all entitled to our opinions - even when they're wrong.

I do however, feel that the original was much more powerful than the remake in the way it condemns rape. That cannot be denied. Although I felt a little let down watching the final two kills in the "revenge section", as neither one of them is nearly as powerful as the previous kill, where she kills Johnny in that immortal castration scene.

Bottom line, don't really know why I prefer the remake... Again though, I DO think the original is a good film

The remake of the last House On the Left was pretty good, but not as good as the original...I feel that the film suffered from its villains: You simply can't be a better villain than David Hess (though the new guy wasn't bad). Moreover, other characters like Francis & Justin weren't as freaky & unpredictable as Weasel and Junior were.
