I thought Stake Land was depressing, violent as f*ck in parts and had several unexpected turn of events (which is always a bonus) which I loved. I was gripped from the beginning when Mister took down that vampire with a 30 yard lethal wooden make shift stake to the back. I personally thought it was a breath of fresh air on the vampire genre, instead of creeping through floaty curtains to nibble on a neck, which will will never be topped after Universal / Hammer. More please.....Stake Land 2?

The Road was far superior in my opinion.

I was at a Q&A with the Director, Jim Mickle, for Cold in July. I asked him about continuing the adventures of "Mister". I was told that Nick Damici (the actor that played the character) had written six episodes for a potential TV series. That was last year, but they've also been hard at work preparing "Hap and Leonard" based on the books by Joe R Lansdale, so I'm assuming that has taken priority as no other Stake Land news has come up.
