The Cabin In The Woods (2012)
 

I just watched the trailer for this. Very strange, it plays like "The Evil Dead" crossed with a reality tv snuff type thing with a dose of sci-fi thrown in for good measure! Anyone else seen the trailer, I couldn't tell if I thought it looked good or shite. Either way I'm quite intrigued.

just watched it now, i think it looks awesome, trust Joss Whedon to take a tired sub genre of horror and twist it into something completely different. Im really looking forward to it...

It looks good, a cross between cabin horrors and Dollhouse, with a little ST-TNG holodeck action.

Just got back from watchin' this! It's a horror geek's horror movie....when things really hot, you spend most of the time trying to pin point what all the movie references are or trying to see everything as the movie doesn't linger for too long....

It's a pure monster mash at one point, and my favorite part of the movie is definitely the third act

I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love how at different points it seems representative of so many different sub genres within the Horror fold. They kind of subvert the genre, a little like Scream, but just keep running with it. Very smart, and very, very funny.

I thought that the dialouge was good and parts I enjoyed but the ending was an incredible let down. Could have been much better. Its pretty over-hyped because theres not a lot of half decent horror out in theatres now.
