I saw it Thurs evening with the missus (another thanks to Kyle here) and also really enjoyed it, despite a few negative reviews I'd read. It's no masterpiece, but as a grim and gritty piece of post-apocalyptic nastiness I thought it worked very well indeed. The cast were uniformly good, it was claustrophobic, and I thought the slow dissent into madness was handled convincingly. Not too nasty either, as I was a bit concerned it might be too much for the lady (she had to look away only a couple of times). We'd seen The Avengers earlier, and I was worried it would be a huge let-down following that, but it was decent, if a particularly downbeat film to end the evening on (but I like that!). Is there somewhere that tells you the difference between the R and Unrated cuts? |
Great mini-review there Delirium! :) Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself! |

Got the Anchor Bay BD/DVD set of The Divide and thought it was pretty uncompromising piece of work.Certainly not pretty to look at,but if post-apocalyptic grittiness is something you need a fix of every now and then, you can't go wrong here.Michael Biehn is as good as ever. That 7.1 track, wow. |
