BLOODY DISGUSTING

Having just seen it, no it's not. It's conventional, sub-standard horror fair. Like Insidious et all, it's predictable, sign-posted & lazy. A shame, as Ethan Hawke deserves better than the material offers.

Incidentally, watched Eduardo Sanchez's 'Lovely Molly' the other day and kept thinking how that was far more understated and creepy.

I'm so bored of lazy horror films.

I saw this yesterday. I thought it was pretty good; some great scares and a decent mystery story. It felt a little but too long and I feel it could have been tightened up by shaving off about 15 minutes in the second act but it was well done overall. I absolutely love how it dealt with the whole "oh just get out of the house for god's sake!" aspects of these sort of films and actually used that to its advantage and to further the story.

Woohoo! Glad to hear you liked the film, Paul! :woot: :woot: It really is a great movie and you're spot on about the way it twists cliches to help the story.

Here's a great interview with the director on Sinister...

I saw it last week and it's a 3/5 film - worth a watch, what's done is done quite well for an American horror film, but as Delirium says it is predictable.

Hi everyone!

Has anyone here seen the latest horror movie to hit cinemas, Sinister 2?

I managed to see it yesterday and really enjoyed it! For me, it's just as good as the original - great take on the Baguul myth they set up in the first. The deputy plays the main role (kinda) here from the first film so it all ties in nicely - such a great character too. Not your typical leading character!

Has anyone else seen this yet? Let us know what you make of it below...

I enjoyed the movie (the first film) but I'm not sure it was enough to make me come back for a second serving. Maybe if i see it on Netflix i will give it some attention. I do enjoy movies that have 'can you see that in the photo in the background' sort of scenes in them.

Me and my gf love the first film, so we're planning on going to watch the sequel next week

I like the first one too. When I first watched it the boy MTDS frightened the crap out of me as he had gotten out of bed, came into the front room and just stood silently at the edge of my vision during one of the scenes with the spooky kids.
