I jest! At the end of the day no film is universally popular and if you don't like something you dont like it. Believe me I get enough stick for finding salo to be an overrated piece of garbage!

Pretty much every soavi film seems to have its share of detractors, personally I think its a pretty stylish and well crafted suspense piece with some fun deaths.

As for witchcraft, well dont go expecting citizen kane, but the film is a bunch of people on an island getting bumped off, and we get a scene of the hoff getting chairs thrown at him plus the lovely linda blair, so this one sits firmly in my guilty pleasures list alongside hell of the living dead and burial ground.
It's certainly stylish, and I enjoy the film for that aspect. I'm just very picky with films which seem to follow the 'American Slasher' premise and structure, and I felt Stagefright seemed to owe a bit to this end of things.

Haha, I always have time for The Hoff. Knight Rider was one of my favorite shows as a kid. I actually don't consider Burial Ground to be a guilty pleasure, although Hell of the Living Dead might fit in that category! (except for that little kid zombie...he was badass! Talk about good acting! )
