Ed Wood was one of those who REALLY wanted to make movies even if he had no money or real skill, but his charm shines thru. He probably enjoyed the whole deal as much or maybe even more than film makers far more respected than himself, he belongs to that cult cadre who's films only get appreciated long after their gone and we can still whack on PLAN 9 have a laugh talking about it over 50 years after it's release(there is much enjoyment in a Wood film if you care to find it) just don't expect too much...
Needless to say Burton's ED WOOD is a great tribute to the man.
