Young Frankenstein is defo my favourite. So much better than the awful 'Scary Movie' parody sequels and the like we get today. U can tell from YF in its black and white cinematographic approach (that reflects the german expressionist inspired Universal originals) that Mel Brook's and Gene Wilder had a great respect for the original. In fact I believe they went to the effort and succeeded in obtaining the exact same laboratory sets used in the 1931/35 film's from 83 year old Kenneth Strickfadden's Santa Monica garage to use in the appropriate scenes in their film.
