Right, this week we're giving away a little gem of a film; The Fox Family. Don't have a sausage what it's actually about or what it actually is?

"A FASCINATING, FUN JOURNEY." – TWITCH FILM
Part musical, part comedy, part fantasy fable, part horror film, part romance, THE FOX FAMILY is all these things and more – the kind of fun-packed and entertainingly demented example of eye-candy cinema that could only come from South Korea.
The debut feature from Lee Hyung-gon, the film stars Ha Jung-woo (Like You Know It All), former Miss Korea, Park Si-hyeon (Marine Boy), Ju Hyeon (A Love) and Ko Ju-yeon (Epitaph; My Wife Is A Gangster) as the most bizarre and fantastical family you are ever likely to meet.
Taking the Korean legend relating to the shape-shifting "kumiho" (literally, a nine-tailed fox) spirits as its basis, THE FOX FAMILY concerns the exploits of the eponymous heroes – a father, son and two daughters – a family of Fox Spirits who have temporarily assumed human form and are travelling the country masquerading as a circus troupe. Preferring their newfound existence to their natural (if you can call it that!) state, they decide to take advantage of a mystical loophole relating to their circumstances that will allow them to remain human permanently. All they have to do is wait for the occurrence of an eclipse that only takes place every thousand years and on that very night consume a human liver!
Fortunately for them, but definitely not for anyone in their vicinity, that night is about to happen and so begins the hapless blood quest to find some unwitting donors. Unfortunately, before the big event takes place, a human torso is found (minus its liver) and the Fox Family finds itself under suspicion in a serial killer murder investigation.
Full of slapstick comedy, spectacular song and dance numbers, a little romance and a dash of horror, THE FOX FAMILY, with its familiar echoes of the deliriously macabre comic madness seen in "The Happiness of the Katakuris" and "The Addams Family", will have viewers howling at the moon with delight.
THE FOX FAMILY (cert. tbc) will be released on DVD (£12.99) by Terracotta Distribution on 10th August 2009.
